Terms of Service

Terms of Service

Effective date: 29 October 2026

These terms apply to the Easy Installer app for Android ("the app"). It is part of InfoLife and run by Pii Mobile Limited ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. How can you use the app?

We give you a personal, non-exclusive permission (a licence) to use the app on Android devices that you own or control, for your own personal and non-commercial use. You cannot transfer this permission to anyone else, and we can cancel it as explained in these terms. Unless the law allows it, you must not copy, change, share, sell, reverse engineer, or take apart (decompile) the app. You also must not use the app in any way that breaks the law or Google Play's terms.

You are responsible for the files you install and back up, and you must have the right to use them (for example, paid apps or apps from other developers). Do not use the app to copy or share apps in a way that breaks their licences or the law.

2. What does the app do?

Easy Installer lets you back up apps you have installed on your phone (apps with a launcher icon) and save a chosen app as a file (.apk, or .apks for apps made of several files) in a folder you pick with Android's folder picker. You can also restore and install apps from those backups or from installer files you open (APK, APKS, XAPK, and APKM, including split apps), including files opened from a browser, file manager, or chat app with "Open with Easy Installer". Before installing, the app shows whether it is a new install, an update, or an older version, whether the file is signed by a different developer than the installed app, whether your phone's Android version is supported, and which permissions the app asks for. Android then shows its own confirmation before anything is installed. After installing, you can open the app or delete the installer file. XAPK game data (OBB) is not copied.

Installing apps from outside Google Play can be risky. Easy Installer does not check files for malware, though Android and Google Play Protect may warn you or block an install. The apps you back up or install belong to other developers and their own terms and licences apply. Backups and installs depend on the app and your Android version, and we do not guarantee that every app can be backed up, restored, or installed.

3. Why are there ads in the app?

The app is free to use and shows ads from our ad partners, including Google. These ads come from outside companies (third parties). We are not responsible for what is in the ads or for any products or services they offer. Please read our Privacy Policy to see how ad partners handle data.

4. How is your privacy handled?

Our Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles. It is part of these terms.

5. Will the app change or update?

We may update, change, or stop offering the app or any of its features at any time. You may need to install updates to keep using the app.

6. Who owns the app?

The app, along with its name, logo, and content, belongs to us or our licensors. Third-party open source parts are used under their own licence agreements. Any apps or files that you back up or install belong to their respective owners and are governed by their own licence agreements.

7. Are there any guarantees or warranties?

We provide the app "as is" and "as available". We make no promises or warranties of any kind, whether stated directly (express) or implied, including warranties that the app is fit for a particular purpose or does not infringe anyone else's rights. We do not promise that the app will be free of errors, that every app can be backed up, restored, or installed, or that any file you open or install is safe or free of malware.

8. What is our responsibility if something goes wrong?

As far as the law allows, we are not responsible (liable) for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses. We are also not responsible for any lost data, lost profits, or loss of use that comes from using the app, including failed backups or installs, deleting installer or backup files, or any problems caused by files or apps from other sources that you choose to install. However, nothing in these terms limits any legal responsibility that cannot be limited under the law, or takes away your legal (statutory) rights as a consumer.

9. How can these terms end?

You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. Backups stay in the folder you chose, and deleting them is up to you. We may end your permission (licence) to use the app if you break these terms.

10. Which country's laws apply?

New Zealand laws govern these terms. However, this does not take away any mandatory consumer protection rights you have under the laws of the country where you live.

11. What happens if we change these terms?

We may change these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when the latest version started. If you keep using the app after we make a change, it means you accept the new terms.
