Privacy Policy
Effective date: 29 October 2026
This policy explains what information the Easy Uninstaller app for Android handles, why it is used, and what choices you have. Easy Uninstaller is part of InfoLife and is operated by Pii Mobile Limited ("we" or "us"). We are responsible for how your information is handled as described in this policy.
Quick summary
- The app reads the list of apps on your phone only to show them to you and help you remove the ones you pick. This list never leaves your phone.
- You do not need an account. We never ask for your name, email address, contacts, photos, or files.
- The app is free and shows ads. Our advertising partners and service providers collect some information about your phone and how you use the app, as explained below.
- Where the law requires it—such as in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom (UK), and Switzerland—we only show personalised ads (ads matched to your interests) if you give your permission. You can change your choice at any time in the app.
What stays only on your phone?
To do its job, the app reads the list of apps installed on your phone, including their names, icons, sizes, and install dates. It also checks your free and total storage space. All of this stays on your phone. The app uses it only to show, search, and sort your apps, start uninstalling the apps you confirm, and keep a history of uninstalled apps on your device. We never collect, upload, sell, or share this information.
If you turn on Usage access for the app (optional, in your Android settings), it also reads when you last opened each app and how long you used it in the last 30 days. This is only used on your phone to show which apps you no longer use and to mention them in the uninstall reminder. It is never uploaded, sold, or shared.
If you use the optional uninstall reminder, that notification is created directly on your phone. It does not come from an outside server.
What information is collected and why?
When you use the app, third-party tools built into the app collect the following categories of information from your phone:
- Device and app information: Basic details such as your phone model, Android system version, language, and app version.
- Identifiers: Resettable or random IDs, such as your Android advertising ID and random app installation IDs.
- Approximate location: Your general area (such as your country or region), estimated from your IP address (your internet address).
- How you use the app and interact with ads: Which screens you open, how often you use the app, and whether you see or tap on ads.
- Crash information: Technical details about what the app was doing if it crashes.
- Your ad consent choices: Your saved preferences for ad privacy.
This information is used to:
- show and measure ads, and prevent ad fraud
- remember your ad privacy choices
- understand app usage so we can improve the app
- find and fix crashes
Who receives this information?
This information is collected and processed by two categories of recipients:
- Advertising partners that show ads, measure how they perform, and stop ad fraud.
- Service providers that help us with analytics and crash reporting.
These advertising partners and service providers include Google. You can see the full list of advertising partners in the consent message inside the app, and learn more at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
From these providers, we only receive aggregated summary reports that do not single you out, along with crash reports when the app stops working.
All data sent from your phone is encrypted in transit (scrambled while travelling over the internet so others cannot read it). It may be processed and stored on servers outside your country, including in the United States.
Why are we allowed to use this information?
Privacy laws require us to have a valid legal reason (called a "legal basis") for handling information:
- Showing ads (including personalised ads): Where required by law, we rely on your consent (your permission). Where consent is not required, we rely on our legitimate interest (a fair business reason) in paying for and running a free app.
- Usage reports and crash reports: We rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the app working properly and improving it.
- Reading your app list on your phone: We do this to provide the service you asked for when you use the app.
What choices do you have?
- Ad consent: You can change your ad privacy choice at any time inside the app under Settings > GDPR Setting (shown in regions where consent is required).
- Advertising ID: You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings (under Settings > Privacy > Ads, or Google > Ads). Without it, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalised.
- Usage access: You can turn Usage access for Easy Uninstaller on or off at any time in your Android settings (Settings > Apps > Special app access > Usage access).
- Notifications: You can turn off the uninstall reminder or the status bar shortcut in the app's settings, or block notifications in your Android settings.
- Stop all collection: You can uninstall the app at any time to stop all data collection.
How long is information kept and how can it be deleted?
Information kept on your phone (such as your uninstall history and app settings) is deleted when you clear the app's data or uninstall the app. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months. Crash reports are kept for up to 90 days. Advertising partners keep data under their own privacy policies.
Because we do not use accounts or collect your name or email address, we usually cannot tell which analytics or crash data came from your phone. However, if you want us to delete analytics or crash data linked to your device, please email us and we will help as far as we can identify it.
What are your privacy rights?
Depending on where you live (for example, under the European GDPR, the UK GDPR, or US state privacy laws), you may have the right to:
- ask for a copy of your personal data (access)
- fix mistakes in your data (correct)
- ask us to erase your data (delete)
- limit how we use your data (restrict processing)
- object to how we use your data
- take back your permission (withdraw consent)
- complain to your local data protection authority (privacy regulator)
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for any reason other than those explained in this policy. To use any of your rights, please contact us using the details below.
Is the app meant for children?
The app is not aimed at children under 13 (or the minimum legal age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
How will you know if this policy changes?
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when the latest version took effect. If we make important changes, we will also mention them in the app's update notes (release notes).
