Privacy Policy
Effective date: 8 November 2026
This policy explains what information the Game Hub app for Android (previously called Game Booster & Launcher) handles, why it is used, and what choices you have. Game Hub is part of InfoLife and is operated by Pii Mobile Limited ("we" or "us"). We are responsible for how your information is handled as described in this policy.
Quick summary
- The app lists the games on your phone in one place, opens a game when you tap it, shows a short check before you play, can turn Do Not Disturb on and off when you tap its switch, and opens your phone maker's own game app if your phone has one. The list of your apps, which apps you marked as games, your playtime, and the phone readings stay only on your phone.
- You do not need an account. We never ask for your name, email address, or contacts. Showing how long you played each game in the last 7 days is optional and only works if you allow Usage Access in Android settings.
- The app is free and may show ads. Our advertising partners and service providers collect some information about your phone and how you use the app, as explained below.
- Where the law requires it—such as in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom (UK), and Switzerland—we only show personalised ads (ads matched to your interests) if you give your permission. You can change your choice at any time in the app.
What stays only on your phone?
Game Hub lists the games on your phone in one place and opens a game when you tap it. To build this list, the app looks at the apps on your phone that have a launcher icon and picks the ones that declare themselves as games. You can also add or remove apps yourself.
Before you play, the app shows a short check of your phone. This shows whether the phone is limiting speed because it is hot, the battery temperature and level, and your free storage. The app can also open your phone maker's own game app if your phone has one. If you allow Do Not Disturb access in Android settings, a switch in the app turns Do Not Disturb on and off. This is optional, and you can turn this access off at any time in Android settings.
If you allow Usage Access in Android settings, the app shows how long you played each game in the last 7 days. This is optional. You can turn Usage Access off at any time in Android settings.
The list of your apps, which apps you marked as games, your playtime, and the phone readings are processed only on your phone. They are never uploaded, sold, or shared. Game Hub does not change your games and does not close other apps. The only system setting it can change is Do Not Disturb, and only when you tap its switch.
What information is collected and why?
When you use the app, third-party tools built into the app collect the following categories of information from your phone:
- Device and app information: Basic details such as your phone model, Android system version, language, and app version.
- Identifiers: Resettable or random IDs, such as your Android advertising ID and random app installation IDs.
- Approximate location: Your general area (such as your country or region), estimated from your IP address (your internet address).
- How you use the app and interact with ads: Which screens you open, how often you use the app, and whether you see or tap on ads.
- Crash information: Technical details about what the app was doing if it crashes.
- Your ad consent choices: Your saved preferences for ad privacy.
This information is used to:
- show and measure ads, and prevent ad fraud
- remember your ad privacy choices
- understand app usage so we can improve the app
- find and fix crashes
- load app configuration settings
Who receives this information?
This information is collected and processed by two categories of recipients:
- Advertising partners that show ads, measure how they perform, and stop ad fraud.
- Analytics, crash reporting, and configuration providers that help us understand app usage, fix crashes, and manage app configuration.
These advertising partners and providers include Google. You can see the full list of advertising partners in the consent message inside the app, and learn more at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
From these providers, we only receive aggregated summary reports that do not single you out, along with crash reports when the app stops working.
All data sent from your phone is encrypted in transit (scrambled while travelling over the internet so others cannot read it). It may be processed and stored on servers outside your country, including in the United States.
Why are we allowed to use this information?
Privacy laws require us to have a valid legal reason (called a "legal basis") for handling information:
- Showing ads (including personalised ads): Where required by law, we rely on your consent (your permission). Where consent is not required, we rely on our legitimate interest (a fair business reason) in paying for and running a free app.
- Usage reports, crash reports, and app configuration: We rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the app working properly and improving it.
- Listing your games, saving which apps you marked as games, showing the phone check before you play, and showing your playtime when you allow Usage Access: We do this to provide the service you asked for when you use the app.
What choices do you have?
- Ad consent: You can change your ad privacy choice at any time in the app (shown where consent is required).
- Advertising ID: You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings (under Settings > Privacy > Ads, or Google > Ads). Without it, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalised.
- Usage Access: Showing your playtime for the last 7 days is optional. You can turn Usage Access off at any time in your Android settings.
- Stop all collection: You can uninstall the app at any time to stop all data collection.
How long is information kept and how can it be deleted?
Information kept on your phone (such as which apps you marked as games) is deleted when you clear the app's data or uninstall the app. Your app list, playtime, and phone readings are only processed on your phone while you use the app. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months. Crash reports are kept for up to 90 days. Advertising partners keep data under their own privacy policies.
Because we do not use accounts or collect your name or email address, we usually cannot tell which analytics or crash data came from your phone. However, if you want us to delete analytics or crash data linked to your device, please email us and we will help as far as we can identify it.
What are your privacy rights?
Depending on where you live (for example, under the European GDPR, the UK GDPR, or US state privacy laws), you may have the right to:
- ask for a copy of your personal data (access)
- fix mistakes in your data (correct)
- ask us to erase your data (delete)
- limit how we use your data (restrict processing)
- object to how we use your data
- take back your permission (withdraw consent)
- complain to your local data protection authority (privacy regulator)
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for any reason other than those explained in this policy. To use any of your rights, please contact us using the details below.
Is the app meant for children?
The app is not aimed at children under 13 (or the minimum legal age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
How will you know if this policy changes?
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when the latest version took effect. If we make important changes, we will also mention them in the app's update notes (release notes).
